Graveside services for Lloyd Lee Nettles of Slaughter, La., are2 p.m., Tuesday, June 11, at Mt. Zion Baptist Church Cemetery.Brookhaven Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Nettles, 88, died June 9, 2002, at Lane Memorial Hospital inZachary, La. He was born in Copiah County on Oct. 20, 1911, toFredrick Nettles and Alice Britt Nettles.

He was a retired mechanic. He was a member of the Baptistfaith.

Preceding him in death were his parents; and his brothers,Norman and Hugh Nettles.

Survivors are his son, Billy Nettles of Central, La.; hisdaughters, Patsy Turner of Watson, La., Dorothy Vicknair ofGramercy, La., and Jamie Landry of Slaughter, La.; his sister,Lucille Herbert of Wesson; and 12 grandchildren and a number ofgreat-grandchildren.
