Four face armed robbery charges

Four Brookhaven men were arrested Wednesday in connection withan alleged armed robbery at a Brookhaven housing complex early thatmorning.

Michael Blue, 32, of 520 South Second Street; Jeramy Campbell,21, of 536 North Church Street; and Darran T. Drummond, 17, of 1718Monticello Street, are all being held in the Lincoln County Jail onarmed robbery charges, according to the jail docket.

Jerry T. Doss, 23, of 1103 Brookway Boulevard Extension, alsobeing held in the Lincoln County jail, faces a possession of stolenproperty charge, said Brookhaven Assistant Police Chief NolanJones.

The four men are believed to have held two Hazlehurst men atgunpoint in Carver Heights Apartment Complex.

“The victims were sitting in a parked car when another guywalked up to them and pulled a gun out,” said Jones. “The passengergot out and ran away.”

According to Jones, the victims reported that Blue told Campbelland Drummond to take a stereo system out of the victims’ vehiclewhile he held the gun to the driver’s head.

Blue had a stolen handgun in his possession when arrested andwas also charged with possession of stolen property, saidJones.

The stereo equipment and two cellular phones stolen during therobbery were allegedly placed in the trunk of Doss’ vehicle andtaken to another location, said Jones.

“We recovered all of the stolen property,” he added.

Authorities planned to continue questioning witnesses Thursdayas new information comes in to the police department.
