Services for Donald Gene Smith of Brookhaven are 2 p.m.,Tuesday, June 25, at Brookhaven Funeral Home Chapel with burial inUnion Hall Baptist Church Cemetery.

Mr. Smith, 60, died June 23, 2002, at Beacham Memorial Hospital.He was born in Brookhaven on Sept. 27, 1941, to Leonard Smith andNannie Bell Leggett Smith.

He worked in construction and was a surveyor for Michael BakerEngineers. He was a member of Union Hall Baptist Church. He hadserved in the National Guard.

Preceding him in death were his parents.

Survivors are his son, Brad G. Smith and wife Teresa ofBrookhaven; his daughter, Dory Smith-Givens and husband Conway ofBrookhaven; his brothers, Charles Leonard Smith of Wesson andKenneth Earl Smith of Bogue Chitto; and his grandchildren,Christopher Smith, Patrick Smith, and Johnathan Smith.
