Services for Melvin E. “Gene” Ingram of Jackson are 1:30 p.m.,Saturday, June 29, at Emmanuel Church of the Nazarene with burialin Lakewood Memorial Park.
Visitation is Saturday from 10 a.m. until 1:30 p.m. at thechurch.
Mr. Ingram, 72, died June 26, 2002, at Central MississippiMedical Center. He was a native of Isola and had lived in Jacksonmost of his life.
He was retired from Mississippi Materials Company. He was amember of Emmanuel Church of the Nazarene. He was founder of theWay-makers Quartet. He was a veteran of the Korean War, serving inthe Army and the Navy.
Survivors are his wife, Donnis Morris Ingram of Jackson; hisdaughters, Sharon Kay Ingram Teasley of Florence and Melanie IngramAlford of Richland; his brothers, Robert Olen Ingram of Wesson,Norman Leroy Ingram of Jackson and Marion “Squeeky” Ingram ofHarrisville; his sisters, Lillian Elizabeth Ingram Haimes ofFlorence and Nancy Earline Ingram Dufrense of Crystal Springs; andthree grandchildren.
