Services for Ethel Marie Smith of Pickens are 2 p.m., Wednesday,Aug. 7, at Brookhaven Funeral Home Chapel with burial in MacedoniaBaptist Church Cemetery.

Visitation is Wednesday from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. at the funeralhome.

Mrs. Smith, 77, died Aug. 4, 2002, at St. Dominic’s Hospital inJackson. She was born in Pickens on Dec. 8, 1924, to Robert SaxonRiley and Louvinia Williams Riley.

She was a homemaker. She was a member of the Catholic faith.

Preceding her in death were her parents; and her husband, JamesEdmund Smith.

Survivors are her daughter, Angela Marie Holmes of Pickens; hersister, Mary B. Hertz of Ballwin, Mo.; her stepmother, OretherRiley of Picayune; her half-sisters, Peggy Smith of Picayune andMartha Sheffield of Carriere; her half-brother, Robert Saxon Jr. ofCarriere; her stepsisters, Eloise Bond of Ozona and Louise Nelsonof Picayune; and three grandchildren.
