Services for Travis Lonell Byrd of Brookhaven are 1 p.m.,Friday, Aug. 9, at Old St. John M.B. Church with burial in St. JohnCemetery.

Visitation is Thursday from noon until 7 p.m. with family hourfrom 7-8 p.m. at Williams Mortuary.

Mr. Byrd, 21, died Aug. 3, 2002, at Central Mississippi MedicalCenter in Jackson. He was born in Brookhaven on Jan. 18, 1981, toJimmie Lee Byrd and Rose Mary Byrd. He was an honor graduate ofWesson High School and attended Copiah-Lincoln Community Collegefor two years on a band scholarship.

He was employed at Cracker Barrel Restaurant and LincolnResidential Center. He was a member of Old St. John M.B.Church.

Preceding him in death were his brother, Michael Daniel Byrd;and his grandparents, Joe and Carrie Byrd and Oliver and IdaFlowers.

Survivors are his mother, Rose Mary Byrd of Wesson; his father,Jimmie Lee Byrd of Wesson; his brothers, Tracy Lee Byrd of CrystalSprings, Jimmie Byrd of Jackson, and Gregory Byrd and Johnnie Byrd,both of Brookhaven; his sisters, Patricia Killingsworth andStephanie Pillers, both of Hazlehurst, Theresa Nell Flowers ofBrookhaven, and Audrey Elise Jones of Wesson; and many aunts,uncles, nieces, nephews, and friends.
