Services for Virgie Mae Lyons of Brookhaven are 2 p.m.,Saturday, Aug. 17, at Mt. Olive M.B. Church with burial in thechurch cemetery.

Visitation is Friday from noon until 5 p.m. with family hourfrom 7:30-8:30 p.m. at Williams Mortuary.

Ms. Lyons, 65, died Aug. 10, 2002, at Hospice Ministries inRidgeland. She was born in Lincoln County on May 4, 1937, to VersieLyons Sr. and Lillie Mae Ford Lyons.

She was disabled. She was a member of Mt. Olive M.B. Church.

Preceding her in death were her parents; her grandparents; herbrother, Versie Lyons Jr.; and her sisters, Lula Lyons, MaryTillman, and Zadie Mae Lyons.

Survivors are her sons, James Earl Lyons and Robert Earl Lyons,both of Brookhaven; her daughters, Shelia Nelson, Catherine Jones,and Johnnie Lyons, all of Brookhaven; her sisters, Ollie Mae Lyons,Jessie Lee Washington, Mary Lee Henderson, and Lottie Mae Lyons,all of Brookhaven; her brothers, Willie Lyons, Jerry Lee Lyons, andJessie Lyons, all of Brookhaven; and six grandchildren, eightstepgrandchildren, and one great-grandchild.
