Services for Eugene Robert Leggett of Sumrall, and formerly ofBrookhaven, are 3 p.m., Tuesday, Sept. 3, at Brookhaven FuneralHome Chapel with burial in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter DaySaints Red Star Ward Cemetery.

Visitation is today from 1-3 p.m. at the funeral home.

Mr. Leggett, 71, died Aug. 31, 2002, at Forrest GeneralHospital. He was born on Dec. 29, 1930, to Tobe Leggett and SallyPorter Leggett.

He was a retired project inspector for the Church of JesusChrist of Latter Day Saints. He was a veteran of WWII.

Preceding him in death were his parents; his brothers, Judge,J.W., and Talmadge Leggett; his sister, Minnie Bell Nations; andhis son, Glen Leggett.

Survivors are his wife, Beatrice Ratcliff Dunn Leggett ofSumrall; his son, Eugene Chester Leggett of Salt Lake City, Utah;his stepdaughter, Joyce Dunn Brent of Hattiesburg; his stepson,James Edward Dunn of Knoxville, Tenn.; and one grandson, severalgreat-grandchildren, four step-grandchildren, and ninestep-great-grandchildren.
