Services for Charles E. “Man” Adams of Brookhaven are 2 p.m.,Monday, Sept. 9, at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church with burial inthe church cemetery. Brookhaven Funeral Home is in charge ofarrangements.

Mr. Adams, 84, died Sept. 8, 2002, at his residence. He was bornin Lincoln County on June 15, 1918, to Charlie Adams and Zula SmithAdams.

He was a self-employed carpenter contractor. He was a member ofPleasant Grove Baptist Church.

Preceding him in death were his parents; three sisters; andthree brothers.

Survivors are his wife, Bessie Lou Watts Adams of Brookhaven;his sons and daughters-in-law, Herschel and JoAnn Adams, Kennon andKaren Adams, Randy and Debbie Adams, and Lance and Lana Adams, allof Brookhaven; his daughters and sons-in-law, Judy and James Morganof Quitman and Sandra and Mike Ray of Richland; his grandchildren,Chris Morgan, Jake Adams, LeAnn Montgomery, Kala Burns, HolliAdams, and Karla Gerald; and his great-grandchildren, NickolasBurns, Jaci Montgomery, Megan Gerald, and Lake Morgan.
