Services for Clinton Eugene Bane Jr. of Brookhaven are 2 p.m.Monday, Oct. 14, at Faith Presbyterian Church with burial inRiverwood Memorial Park.

Visitation is Sunday, Oct. 13, from 3-6 p.m. at HarrigillFuneral Home and Monday, Oct. 14, from 1:30 p.m. to service time atthe church.

Mr. Bane, 77, died Oct. 11, 2002, at King’s Daughters MedicalCenter. He was born in Mather, Pa., on July 27, 1925, to the lateClinton Eugene and Mary Rebecca Riggle Bane.

He was a registered pharmacist and the owner of Bane Drug Storesince 1954. He was a U.S. Air Corps veteran of World War II. Out ofhigh school, he entered the Air Corps and served three years inIndia during the war. In 1949, he received his Bachelors of Sciencedegree in biology from Waynesburg College in Pennsylvania. Aftergraduating from the University of Mississippi School of Pharmacy in1952 he became employed as a pharmacist at Condon’s Drug Store inGreenville.

He was a member of Faith Presbyterian Church, where he served asa deacon. He was also a member of the Mississippi PharmacistsAssociation, the National Association of Retail Druggists and theOle Miss Alumni Association since 1954. He was a longtime member ofthe the Brookhaven-Lincoln County Chamber of Commerce and the Sonsof the American Revolution.

Survivors are his wife, Doris Mae Allred Bane; sons, ClintonEugene Bane III and Allen Allred Bane, all of Brookhaven;daughters, Beverly Bane Case of Brookhaven, Mary Ellen Bane ofOxford and Velma Bane Lea of Brookhaven; and eight grandchildren,John Alan Davis, Lindsey Marie Davis, Rosanna Belle Lea, RichardGrant Case Jr., Collins Bane Case, Hallie Bracknell Bane, DuncanMcLaurin Bane and Patton Hood Bane.
