Services for Vera Hamilton Allen of Brookhaven are 3 p.m.,Tuesday, Oct. 15, at Union Hall Baptist Church with burial in thechurch cemetery.

Visitation is today from 5-9 p.m. at Brookhaven FuneralHome.

Mrs. Allen, 78, died Oct. 14, 2002, at University MedicalCenter. She was born in Copiah County on Oct. 29, 1923, to JoeHamilton and Louann McBride Hamilton.

She was a homemaker. She was a member of Union Hall BaptistChurch.

Preceding her in death were her parents.

Survivors are her husband, Gene Allen of Brookhaven; her sonsand daughters-in-law, Joe and Gussie Ashley of Brookhaven and Randyand Sandy Ashley of Richland; her brother, Emmitt Hamilton of YazooCity; her sisters, Merle Letchworth and Mattie Walker, both ofWesson; her grandchildren, Mike and Sherry Ashley and Justin andLee Ashley; and two great-grandchildren.
