Services for William George Hitchner of Brookhaven are 2 p.m.,Monday, Oct. 21, at Brookhaven Funeral Home Chapel.

Visitation is Monday from noon until 2 p.m. at the funeralhome.

Mr. Hitchner, 72, died Oct. 19, 2002, at St. Dominic Hospital inJackson. He was born in Camden, N.J., on Nov. 18, 1929, to ClydeGeorge Hitchner and Laura Grace Little Hitchner.

He was a retired engineer from Hartley Gove Sons. He was of theMethodist faith.

Preceding him in death were his parents.

Survivors are his wife, Patricia Hitchner of Brookhaven; hissons, Richard Hitchner of Widefield, Colo., David Hitchner of BatonRouge, La., and Kevin Hitchner of Crestview, Fla.; his daughters,Denise Selvig of Counce, Tenn., Janet Matula of Walls, ElizabethHall of Brookhaven, and Mary Brister of Baton Rouge; and 15grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
