Services for Lydy Becker Caldwell of Jackson are 2 p.m.,Saturday, Oct. 26, at St. James’ Episcopal Church with burial inLakewood Memorial Park.

Visitation is today from 5-7 p.m. at Wright and Ferguson FuneralHome and from 1-2 p.m. at the church on Saturday.

Mrs. Caldwell, 74, died Oct. 24, 2002, at University MedicalCenter. She was born in Brookhaven on Jan. 9, 1928, to Cleve andRuth Becker. She was a graduate of Brookhaven High School andreceived her degree in English from the University of Mississippiin 1949. While at Ole Miss she was chapter president of Delta DeltaDelta.

She was active in the former Jackson Little Theatre and the NewStage Theatre and appeared in many of their productions. She was aformer member of the New Stage Theatre board of directors. Sheacted in several television commercials and films. She was a memberof the Ledejeuner Club, the Calliope Club, the Junior League, theHoliday Club, and the Jackson Yacht Club.

Preceding her in death were her husband, Thomas Eugene Caldwell;and her grandson, Craig Marsh Geno Jr.

Survivors are her daughters, Len Rogers of Dallas, Texas, BethHenley of Los Angeles, and C. C. Henley and Kayo Henley, both ofJackson; her sisters, Jane Heidelberg of Hattiesburg and BarbaraBailey of Metairie, La.; her brother, Mike Becker of Brookhaven;and three grandchildren.
