Services for John P. “Jake” Hedgepeth of Jackson are 11 a.m.,Saturday, Nov. 16, at Wilson Funeral Home Chapel with burial inBethel Baptist Church Cemetery.

Visitation is today from 5-8 p.m. and Saturday from 8 a.m. untilservice time at the funeral home.

Mr. Hedgepeth, 68, died Nov. 13, 2002, of heart failure at hisresidence. He was born in Lawrence County on Nov. 6, 1934, to JohnC. and Argedine Thames Hedgepeth. He moved to Jackson in 1954.

He was a self-employed accountant. He was a member of BethelBaptist Church.

Preceding him in death were his parents; his brothers, Johnny,Joseph, and Dennie Hedgepeth; and his sisters, Katie Hedgepeth,Helen Ham, Claudine Purl and Maxine Sanders.

Survivors are his brothers, Joe Hedgepeth of Pelahatchie and LeeHedgepeth of Sallis; his sister, Nell Hedgepeth Watson of BogueChitto; and a host of nieces and nephews.
