Services for Margaret Alice Freeman Smith of Union Church are 1p.m., Wednesday, Dec. 11, at Brookhaven Funeral Home Chapel withburial in Ephesus Primitive Baptist Church in Jefferson County.

Visitation is today from 5-9 p.m. at the funeral home.

Mrs. Smith, 89, died Dec. 10, 2002, at King’s Daughters MedicalCenter. She was born in Port Gibson on Feb. 28, 1913, to GuyCarlton Freeman and Ann Baldwin McDougal Freeman.

She was a homemaker. She was a member of Ephesus PrimitiveBaptist Church.

Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband, EveretteSmith; her daughter, Alice Marie Powe; and one brother and twosisters.

Survivors are her daughter, Jeri Ann Smith of Bogue Chitto; hergrandsons, Gregg Waldrop of Natchez, Caleb Bonds of Bogue Chitto,and Michael Powe and Brian Powe, both of McCall Creek; hergranddaughter, Sydnett McNeese of Bogue Chitto; and eightgreat-grandchildren and four step-great-grandchildren.
