Services for Eva R. Rhoades of Natchez are 11 a.m., Friday, Dec.13, at Laird Funeral Home Union Street Chapel with burial inGreenlawn Memorial Park.

Visitation is today from 5-8 p.m. and Friday from 9 a.m. untilservice time at the funeral home.

Mrs. Rhoades, 93, died Dec. 10, 2002, at her residence. She wasborn in Franklin County on Feb. 20, 1909, to William Francisco andCornelia Linder Rodriguez.

She was retired from South Central Bell with 40 years service.She was an active telephone pioneer. She was a quilt maker. She wasaffiliated with Damascus Baptist Church in Franklin County, FirstBaptist Church and Parkway Baptist Church in Natchez.

Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband, Charlie W.Rhoades; her brothers, Samuel Rodriguez, Francis Rodriguez, LandyRodriguez, Winfield Rodriguez, and Clyde Rodriguez; her sisters,Elenora Rodriguez, Cullee R. McCord, Willie Mae R. Priest, PerniceR. Delaney, Mavis R. Knight, Mable R. Hayles and Eula R.Stephens.

Survivors are her son, Charles W. “Billy” Rhoades of Natchez;and three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
