Services for Charles “Boot” Turner of Brookhaven are 2 p.m.,Sunday, Dec. 15, at St. Paul M.B. Church with burial in CarverHeights Cemetery.

Visitation is Saturday from noon until 6 p.m. at WilliamsMortuary.

Mr. Turner, 67, died Dec. 8, 2002, at King’s Daughters MedicalCenter. He was born in Brookhaven on Dec. 23, 1934, to LuciousTurner Sr. and Rosie Turner. He was a 1955 graduate of AlexanderHigh School and attended Alcorn University.

He was retired. He was a member of St. Paul M.B. Church.

Preceding him in death were his parents.

Survivors are his daughter, Carolyn Turner of Carrollton, Texas;his brothers, Lucious Turner Jr. of Bentonia and Robert Earl Turnerof Collins; and his sisters, Allene Rakes of Cleveland, Ohio, RosieLee Lyons of Oakland, Calif., Verna Byrd of Brookhaven and MargieTurner of Alexandria, Va.
