Memorial services for Raymond Melvin Cooper of Brookhaven were 3p.m. Saturday, Dec. 21, at Central Baptist Church.

Mr. Cooper, 92, died Dec. 20, 2002, at King’s Daughters MedicalCenter. He was born in Missouri on May 30, 1910, to the lateCleveland and Maudine Williams Cooper.

He was retired from the U.S. Air Force and a veteran of WorldWar II and the Korean Conflict. He was a member of the Veterans ofForeign Wars.

Survivors are his wife, Muriel Hunsucker Cooper of Brookhaven;sons, Billy Ray Cooper of Springfield, Mass., and Donald Cooper ofBrookhaven; daughters, Linda Anderson of Boston, Joyce Kupiec ofDaytona Beach, Fla., Carolyn Provins of Los Angeles, Patsy Brewerand Margaret Finemore of Brookhaven, Janet Elm and Rae Resinick ofMissouri and Pat of Natchez; 14 grandchildren; and ninegreat-grandchildren.

Brookhaven Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
