Services for Dr. Joseph Preston Crawford of Brookhaven are 11a.m., Thursday, Jan. 9, at Harrigill Funeral Home Chapel withgraveside service at 1:30 p.m. in Hollywood Cemetery in McComb.

Visitation is today from 5-9 p.m. at the funeral home.

Dr. Crawford, 80, died Jan. 7, 2003, at Beverly Health Care. Hewas born in Pike County on April 21, 1922, to William PrestonCrawford and Eunice Lillian Johnson Crawford.

He was a retired medical doctor, having practiced in Brookhavenfrom 1955 until 1980. He was well known for his kindness andsympathy toward those whom he treated.

Preceding him in death were his parents; his son, James BennieCrawford; and his brother, Benton Earl Crawford.

Survivors are his sons, Joe Preston Crawford of Brookhaven andWilliam Gerald Crawford of Friendswood, Texas; his daughter,Cynthia Jeanette Kelly of Madison; his brother, William PaulCrawford of Brookhaven; and 11 grandchildren and fourgreat-grandchildren.
