Services for Luther Warren Christian of Brookhaven are 1 p.m.,Thursday, Jan. 9, at Hartman Funeral Home Chapel in McComb withburial in Johnston Chapel Methodist Church Cemetery.

Visitation is today from 5-8 p.m. and Thursday from noon until12:45 p.m. at the funeral home.

Mr. Christian, 78, died Jan. 7, 2003, at King’s DaughtersMedical Center. He was born in Rayville, La., on Oct. 13, 1924, toDaniel Hampton Christian Sr. and Belma Beatrice WrightChristian.

He was a retired oil field worker. He was a member of BrookwayBaptist Church. He was a member of Lakeview Men’s Golf Association.He was a Merchant Marine in World War II.

Preceding him in death were his parents; his sons, Clarence”Pete” Christian and Bruce Christian; his brothers, Thomas andDaniel Christian; and his sister, Alma Lilly.

Survivors are his wife, Dot Christian of Brookhaven; his son,Dr. Tom Christian of Jackson; his daughter, Mary Travis of Summit;and eight grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Derek Christian, Seth Christian, JacobChristian, Kelly Ratliff, Jim Duckworth, and Louis Johnson.
