Services for Nelson P. Smith of Wesson are 10 a.m., Tuesday,Jan. 14, at New Salem Church of Christ with burial in New SalemCemetery.

Visitation is today from 5-9 p.m., at Harrigill FuneralHome.

Mr. Smith, 78, died Jan. 12, 2003, at St. Dominic’s Hospital inJackson.

He was a retired mechanic for Southern Wholesale. He was amember of New Salem Church of Christ. He served in the militaryduring World War II.

Preceding him in death were his parents, Print Smith and BeulahKimble Smith; a brother, Denver E. Smith; his sister, MildredPierce; and one grandson, Collin Smith.

Survivors are his wife, Jean Smith Smith of Wesson; his son anddaughter-in-law, Rickey N. and Venessa Smith of Wesson; hisdaughters and son-in-law, Nelda Westbrook of Wesson, and Brenda andBrian Burgess of Natchez; his brother, Virgil E. Smith of Wesson;his grandchildren, Alex Smith, Millie Smith, Jacob Westbrook,Blaine Burgess and Michelle Kaizer; and twogreat-grandchildren.
