Services for Leslie S. Thornhill of Bogue Chitto, formerly ofMcComb, are 3 p.m., Thursday, Jan. 23, at Catchings Funeral Home inMcComb with burial in Pike Memorial Gardens.

Visitation is today from 5-8 p.m. and Thursday from 10 a.m.until service time at the funeral home.

Mr. Thornhill, 85, died Jan. 21, 2003, at King’s DaughtersMedical Center. He was born in Topeka on Nov. 27, 1917, to NewtThornhill and Rosie Rushing Thornhill.

He was a retired mechanic for Great Southern Wirebound. He was amember of Navilla Baptist Church. He was a Mason and a member ofthe VFW.

Preceding him in death were his parents; his wife, Thelma EsterTharp Thornhill; his grandson, Chris Case; his brothers, ShelbyThornhill and Joe Thornhill; and his sisters, Ida Nation, AdaPowell, Ellen Mufford, Katie Boyd and Rosalie Baker.

Survivors are his son, Troy R. McBee of Bogue Chitto; hissister, Helen Alexander of Pricedale; and two grandchildren, twogreat-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren.
