Services for Nancy Louise Hamilton of Wesson are 11 a.m.,Wednesday, Feb. 12, at Harrigill Funeral Home Chapel with burial inWesson City Cemetery.
Visitation is Wednesday from 9:30-11 a.m., at the funeralhome.
Miss Hamilton, 87, died Feb. 9, 2003, at her residence. She wasborn in Wesson on Dec. 8, 1915, to Robert Lee Hamilton and LongieDale Hamilton.
She was a retired secretary. She was a member of WessonPresbyterian Church. After graduating from Copiah-Lincoln CommunityCollege, she worked at Kennington Department Store in Jackson. Sheworked at the Brookhaven/Lincoln County Chamber of Commerce andStahl-Urban for 13 years. She wrote the “Wesson Scene” for TheDAILY LEADER for many years.
She was instrumental in forming a group to preserve the OldWesson School. She also had an avid interest in the Longie DaleLibrary.
Preceding her in death were her parents.
Survivors are her nephews, Thorpe Huntington Jr. of Hazlehurst,William Huntington of Memphis, Tenn., Dale Hamilton of Krum, Texas,Kent Hamilton of Lake Charles, La., Robert Hamilton of Baton Rouge,La., and Ron Hamilton of Concord, Calif.; and her nieces, LynnHamilton Gray of Lake Charles, Mary Frances McKey of Clinton, andSusan Hamilton of Baton Rouge.
Memorials may be made to Wesson Presbyterian Church.
