Services for John L. Emerson of Brookhaven are 2 p.m., today atBrookhaven Funeral Home Chapel with burial in Mission Hill BaptistChurch Cemetery.

Mr. Emerson, 66, died Feb. 15, 2003, at his residence. He wasborn in Natchez on June 7, 1936, to Bob Emerson and Ethel FarmerEmerson.

He was a retired construction worker. He was a member of theBaptist faith.

Preceding him in death were his parents; an infant son, JohnEmerson Jr.; two sisters; and two brothers.

Survivors are his son, Brian Emerson of Brookhaven; his sister,Maude Alice Prishmont of Brookhaven; and a host of nieces andnephews.
