Services for Quitman Thomas Sr. of Monticello are 11 a.m.,Thursday, Feb. 20, at Rocky Branch Missionary Baptist Church withburial in the church cemetery.

Visitation is Wednesday from noon-4 p.m., at the funeral home,with wake from 6-7 p.m., at the church.

Mr. Thomas, 75, died Feb. 15, 2003, at his residence. He wasborn in Oma on July 31, 1927, to Will Thomas and Annie RhodesThomas.

He was retired. He was a member of Rocky Branch MissionaryBaptist Church.

Preceding him in death were his parents, three sons, and onedaughter.

Survivors are his wife, Willean Brown Thomas of Monticello; hissons, Charles Thomas and Bobby Thomas, both of Monticello, andQuitman Thomas Jr., of Dallas, Texas; his daughters, Queen McGeeand Sandra Thomas, both of Monticello, Bertha Gholar of SilverCreek, and Stephanie Thomas of Dallas; his sister, Flora Powell ofNew Orleans, La.; and 38 grandchildren; and 49great-grandchildren.
