Services for Kenneth Egerton Eady Jr. of Brookhaven are 10 a.m.,Wednesday, March 5, at First Church of the Nazarene with burial inEasthaven Cemetery.
Visitation is Tuesday from 5-9 p.m., at Brookhaven Funeral Home,and Wednesday from 8-10 a.m., at the church.
Mr. Eady, 86, died March 1, 2003, at University Medical Centerin Jackson. He was born in Hammond, La., on Oct. 30, 1916, toKenneth Egerton Eady Sr., and Mary Ann “Mamie” McDaniel Eady.
He was retired from Thames and Eady Carpet, which he owned for27 years. He owned a skating rink business for nine years. He was amember of First Church of the Nazarene. He was a merchant marine inWorld War II.
Preceding him in death were his parents; his first wife of 12years, Helen Marie Eady; his brothers, Herman Eady and Harold JohnEady; and his sisters, Inez O’Neil, Oline Addison and AnitaNewman.
Survivors are his wife of 50 years, Peggy Eady of Brookhaven;his sons and daughters-in-law, Kenneth Walter Eady and wife, June,both of Rogersville, Mo., David Earl Eady of Seattle, Wash., andPatti Eady of Warren, Ohio; his daughters and son-in-law, Debbieand Johnnie Parkman, both of Brookhaven, and Eloise Eady ofAtlanta, Ga.; and 10 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren.
