Services for Luther Ray Washington Sr. of Jackson are 2:30 p.m.,Friday, March 7, at Little Rock Missionary Baptist Church withburial in the church cemetery.
Visitation is Thursday from 1-6 p.m., at Williams Mortuary.
Mr. Washington, 55, died Feb. 27, 2003, at University ofMississippi Medical Center. He was born in Wesson on Sept. 28,1947, to George Harper Washington and Velma Smith.
He was disabled. He was a high school graduate.
Preceding him in death were his father; and a brother, MichaelJohnson.
Survivors are his mother, Velma Smith of Chicago, Ill.; hissons, Vincent Mitchell of Bogue Chitto, and Luther Ray WashingtonJr., of Germany; his daughters, Leslie Pew of Jackson, and NaloDeans and Jameliah Davis of Milwaukee, Wis.; his brothers, GeorgeWashington and Mark Johnson, both of Chicago, Eddie L. Washingtonof Minneapolis, Minn., Jeffery Washington of S.C., Perry Cameron ofTexas, Howard Jones of California, Bobby Charles Jackson ofBrookhaven, Harper Washington Jr., of St. Louis, Mo., and DavidWashington of New Orleans; his sisters, Georgia Washington,Shelisha Green, Lula Washington, Regina Scarbrough, and KatherineWilliams, all of Brookhaven; and 8 grandchildren.
