Services for Glynn Gary of Canton are 11 a.m., Tuesday, March11, at First United Methodist Church of Canton with gravesideservices at 3 p.m. in Lehreton Cemetery in Ruleville.

Visitation is Tuesday from 10 a.m. until service time at thechurch.

Mr. Gary, 77, died March 9, 2003, at his residence. He was bornin Webster County to Necia and Clyde Gary. He was a graduate ofDelta State University and the University of Mississippi.

He was a retired educator/administrator. He was a member of theMethodist faith, serving on numerous boards and committees. He wasa Gideon. He was a veteran of WWII and was awarded the Bronze Starand the Purple Heart. He was a member of Sons of the Confederacy.He received the Cheek Memorial Merit Award for unselfish serviceand humble Christian service.

Survivors are his wife of 50 years, Janie Patterson Gary; hisdaughter, Jo Gary Byrd; his sister, Ruth Hill of West Point; andhis brothers, Bob Gary of Eupora and Harold Gary of Brookhaven.
