WESSON – Copiah-Lincoln Community College catcher AaronOberschmidt of Brookhaven has been named to the National JuniorCollege Athletic Association (NJCAA) All-Region 23 Baseball Team.Oberschmidt, a Brookhaven product, led the Co-Lin Wolves with 44hits and had a .303 batting average.

Oberschmidt was tied for second on the team with 4 triples andhad a fielding percentage of .989. He is the son of Dwayne andSarah Oberschmidt of Brookhaven.

Also, Co-Lin freshman shortstop Aaron Guillot of Thibodaux, La.was named to the Mississippi Association of Community and JuniorColleges (MACJC) All-State Baseball Team. Guillot led the CoachKeith Case’s Wolves with 25 RBIs and a .439 sluggingpercentage.

Guillot batted .295 including 2 home runs, 4 triples, 6 doubles,and was second on the team with 41 hits.
