James Homer Britt Sr.

Services for James Homer Britt Sr. of Mobile, Ala., were June 2,at Serenity Funeral Home Chapel with burial in Serenity MemorialGardens.

Mr. Britt, 79, died May 29, 2003, at his residence. He was bornin Lincoln County on Oct. 15, 1923, to Homer L. Britt and IdaMinton Britt.

He was a retired employee of International Paper Co., andTeledyne-Continental. He was a member of Cottage Hill BaptistChurch.

Preceding him in death were his parents; a daughter, GlendaBritt Long; and two sisters, Allie May Gunnell and Betty VeeBrewer.

Survivors are his wife, Minnie Lee Britt of Mobile, Ala.; hisson, James H. Britt Jr. of Mobile; his daughter, Sandra Craven ofMobile; his step-daughter, Carolyn Simmons of Daphne, Ala.; hisstepsons, Jerry Blackmon Sr. and Randy Blackmon, both of Mobile;his brothers, Clayton Britt and Tom Britt, both of Brookhaven, andCharles Britt of Nedland, Texas; his sisters, Dorothy Smith ofBrookhaven, and Lessie McCoy of Bronson, Fla.; 11 grandchildren;and 12 great-grandchildren.

Services for Ella Johnson of Arlington, Texas, are 2 p.m.,Saturday, June 7, at Old St. John Missionary Baptist Church inWesson with burial in St. John Cemetery.

Visitation is Friday from noon – 5 p.m., at Tyler FuneralHome.

Mrs. Johnson, 72, died May 31, 2003, at South Fulton Hospital inAtlanta, Ga. She was born in Memphis, Tenn., on June 25, 1930, toAl Fisher and Ollie Smith Fisher.

She was a dietitian. She was a member of Old St. John MissionaryBaptist Church.

Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband, JackJohnson; and two sisters, Denise Johnson and Ollie Ruth MasseyWilliams.

Survivors are her sons, Stanley Omar Smith, Gregory Al Fisher,Kirk Fisher and Frederick Johnson, all of Flint, Mich., and DonaldFisher of Wesson; her daughter, Sandra G. Magee of Arlington,Texas; her brothers, Wilfred Fisher Sr., of Fairfield, Calif., andJames K. Fisher of Memphis, Tenn.; her sister, Janie L. Boarden ofWesson; 31 grandchildren; 39 great-grandchildren; onegreat-great-grandchild; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Harley Madison Johnson

Graveside services for Harley Madison Johnson of Wesson are 10a.m., today in Little Bahalia Baptist Church Cemetery. StringerFuneral Home in Hazlehurst is in charge of arrangements.

The infant Johnson died May 28, 2003, at University MedicalCenter in Jackson.

Survivors are her parents, David and Christy Johnson of Wesson;her maternal grandparents, John Paul and Cindy Martin of Wesson;her paternal grandparents, Bill and Elsie Hayes of Wesson, andDavid Johnson Sr. of Marksville, La.
