Services for Alcus Smith of Brookhaven are 2 p.m., Sunday, June22, at First Baptist Church with burial in Riverwood Memorial ParkCemetery.

Visitation is Sunday from noon to 1:30 p.m. at BrookhavenFuneral Home.

Mr. Smith, 82, died June 20, 2003, at his residence. He was bornin Lincoln County on March 18, 1921, to William T. Smith and EllaWalker Smith.

He was a retired automobile dealer and a World War II Armyveteran. He was a member of First Baptist Church.

Preceding him in death were his parents; and his brothers,Virgil, J.W., Earl, David, Dewey and Hollis Smith.

Survivors are his wife, Bernice Peavey Smith of Brookhaven; hisson and daughter-in-law, Ken and Becky Smith of Laguna Beach,Calif.; his daughter and son-in-law, Susan and Mike Smith ofGonzales, La.; his sisters, Vallie Mae Smith of Brookhaven, andEvon Case of Biloxi; his grandson and spouse, Stephen and ValeriaSmith; his granddaughters, Allyson Smith, Sidney Smith and HayleySmith; and a host of nieces and nephews.
