Services for Betty Jean Sailes Johnson of Jackson, formerly ofBrookhaven, are noon Saturday, June 28, at Damascus MissionaryBaptist Church in Brookhaven with burial in Carver HeightsCemetery.

Visitation is Friday from 1-5 p.m., at Williams Mortuary, andSaturday from 11-11:55 a.m., at the church. Hodges Funeral Home ofPontotoc is in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Johnson, 46, died June 23, 2003, at University MedicalCenter in Jackson. She was born on Aug. 30, 1956, to Aaron “Tom”Sailes Sr., and Berteal Roberson Sailes.

She attended Brookhaven Public Schools.

Preceding her in death were her parents; her maternalgrandparents, John and Mary Roberson; and one brother, Aaron SailesJr.

Survivors are her brother, Donald Lee Sailes of Gulfport; heruncles, Irvin Roberson and Willie Black, both of Brookhaven; andher aunts, Ruby Lee Roberson of Brookhaven, Mary Louise Dickey ofHazlehurst, and Josie Roberson of Chicago, Ill.
