Services for John Roy Martin of Wesson were 11 a.m., July 15, atStringer Funeral Home Chapel with burial in Zion Hill Cemetery.

Mr. Martin, 75, died July 13, 2003, at Mississippi BaptistMedical Center in Jackson.

Preceding him in death were three brothers, J.P. “Pete” MartinJr., Ray Martin and Prentiss “Buddy” Martin; and agreat-granddaughter, Harley Madison Johnson.

Survivors are his wife, Frankie Jackson Martin; his daughters,Martha Cowen and Ann Smith, both of Crystal Springs; his sons, JohnThomas Martin of Jackson, Ronnie Martin and John Paul Martin, bothof Wesson, Douglas Martin of Ackerman, and “Jabo” Carr and NelsonCarr, both of Georgetown; his sisters, Lucille Keys and Anna LauraTucker, both of Wesson; his brother, Charlie A. Martin of Wesson;16 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
