Services for Marguerite “Maggie” Virginia Callender of Ruth are2 p.m., Wednesday, July 30, at Topisaw Baptist Church with burialin Topisaw Cemetery.
Visitation is Tuesday from 5-9 p.m., at Brookhaven Funeral Home,and Wednesday from 1-2 p.m., at the church.
Mrs. Callender, 65, died July 27, 2003, at her residence. Shewas born in Monroe, La., on May 12, 1938, to Oather Hoskins andElsie Faye Hendry Hoskins.
She was retired from sales for department stores. She workedmany years in retail sales and three years at MulticraftTechnologies in Tylertown. She was a member of the Nazarene faith,and played piano for First Church of the Nazarene in Monroe, La.,for many years.
Preceding her in death were her parents, her grandparents and aninfant son.
Survivors are her husband of 42 years, George M. Callender Sr.,of Ruth; her daughters and sons-in-law, Connie and John Coffman ofBogue Chitto, Donnie Chapman of McComb, Sheri and Daniel Hokamp ofLatimer, and Kay and Leo Smith of Collins; her sons and theirsignificant others, George M. Callender Jr., and his fiance, DonnaGuagliardo, both of Gulfport, and Russell and Ondria Callender ofMonticello; her brother and sister-in-law, O.L. Hoskins Jr., andhis wife, Carol, both of Huntsville, Ala.; nine grandchildren; and10 great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Ernie Milum, Milton Deer, Jody Reid, DavidOliver, Kelly Greenlee and Darrell Turner.
Memorials may be made to Horizon Hospice of McComb.
