Services for Lee Edward “Crip” Haynes of Milwaukee, Wis.,formerly of Brookhaven, are 2 p.m., Wednesday, Aug. 13, at St. MarkMissionary Baptist Church with burial in Bogue Chitto WoodsCemetery.

Visitation is Tuesday from noon – 7 p.m., with a wake servicefrom 7-8 p.m., at Williams Mortuary.

Mr. Haynes, 57, died Aug. 5, 2003, in Milwaukee, Wis. He wasborn in Brookhaven on April 24, 1946, to Willie Watson and AnnieBell Haynes.

He was employed for over 20 years at Pinkney Cleaners, andattended Alexander High School.

Preceding him in death were his father; a sister, JuanitaQuarles; three brothers, James Haynes, Andrew Lundy and KennethQuarles; and his grandparents, Ralph Haynes Sr., and Alma Haynes,and Thont and Lula Brown.

Survivors are his mother, Annie Bell Quarles of Brookhaven; hissisters, Louisa Haynes, Theresa Ann Quarles and Vertis Quarles, allof Brookhaven, Arlene Cox and Dorothy Gray, both of Oak Creek,Wis., Alfreda Smith of New Jersey, and Frances Smith of Milwaukee,Wis.; his brothers, Odell Haynes, Willie Dean Quarles, Tony AnthonyQuarles, Raymond Quarles and Herman L. Quarles, all of Brookhaven,Asteen Watson of Chicago, Ill., and Henry Watson of Milwaukee,Wis.; and many nieces, nephews and other relatives.
