Services for Mattie E. Daughdrill of Monticello are 3 p.m.,Thursday, Sept. 25, at Wilson Funeral Home Chapel with burial inShiloh Baptist Church Cemetery.

Visitation is Thursday at 10 a.m., at the funeral home.

Mrs. Daughdrill, 93, died Sept. 23, 2003, at Lawrence CountyNursing Home. She was born in Crowville, La., on Dec. 9, 1910, toSimson A. Thorne and Lula Smith Thorne.

She was a homemaker and a member of Shiloh Baptist Church.

Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband, HermanDaughrill; and an infant son, Gerald Daughdrill.

Survivors are her daughter, Betty Danley of Oakgrove, La.; hersons, Kenneth Daughdrill of Franklinton, La., Thomas Daughdrill ofHammond, La., and Wayne Daughdrill of Monroe, La.; ninegrandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and threegreat-great-grandchildren.

Harvey Vernon Sutton Jr.

Services for Harvey Vernon Sutton Jr. of Chicago, Ill., are 2p.m., Friday, Sept. 26, at Springfield Missionary Baptist Churchwith burial in the church cemetery.

Visitation is Thursday from 5-7 p.m., at Williams Mortuary.

Mr. Sutton, 57, died Sept. 20, 2003, at his residence. He wasborn in Brookhaven on Jan. 24, 1946, to Harvey V. Sutton Sr. andLaura Robinson Sutton Allen.

He was a private security officer and a member of SpringfieldMissionary Baptist Church. He attended Alexander High School.

Preceding him in death were his parents; his grandmother, LulaJustice Sutton; his grandfather, Lonnie Sutton; and his sister,Joyce Allen.

Survivors are his wife, Dorothy Sutton of Brookhaven; hisdaughters and sons-in-law, Luticia and Stacey Floyd of Berwyn,Ill., Tracy of California, and Stephanie and Jimmie Wilson ofMableton, Ga.; his son and daughter-in-law, Robert and CassandraGibson of Baton Rouge, La.; his brother and sister-in-law, Michaeland Sherry Allen of Chicago, Ill.; eight grandchildren; and manyaunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and other relatives.
