Ulius Amos

Services for Ulius Amos of Quentin are 2 p.m., Sunday, Sept. 28,at Allen’s Temple in Liberty with burial in Amos Family Cemetery inFranklin County. Services will be conducted by Elder BernardAllen.

Visitation is Saturday from noon – 5:30 p.m., at MarshallFuneral Home Chapel, and Sunday from 1-2 p.m., at the church.

Mr. Amos, 92, died Sept. 22, 2003, at his residence. He was bornin Hazlehurst on June 20, 1911, to Leah and Frank Amos.

He was a retired saw mill worker and served as a deacon atChurch of the Living God.

Preceding him in death were his parents; his sisters, Ethel M.Major, Marry Watts, Bernice Wright, Lenoria Kees, Louise Watts andEvanell Truvillion; his brothers, Willie Frank, Alex and EddieAmos; and a daughter, Bernie L. Buckley.

Survivors are his wife, Ethel Amos; his daughters andsons-in-law, Eula and Jacob Saulsberry of Quentin, Bernice andRobert Collins of Racine, Wis., Ida and Derick Richardson ofKonesha, Wis., Betty Amos of McComb, Nancy Jackson of Brookhaven,May Frower Washington of St. Paul, Minn.; his sons anddaughters-in-law, Ulius and Marilyn Amos of Brookhaven, Eddie andFaye Amos of Bude, Bobbie and Vergie Amos and J.L. and Eldora Amos,all of Quentin, J.W. Amos of Jackson, and Robert Lee Amos ofChicago, Ill.; and his sister, Lillie Tucker of Jackson.

Pallbearers will be Ulius Amos, Eddie Amos, Bobbie Amos, J.L.Amos, Timothy Amos, Eric Gardner, George Adams, Tonney Benjamin andJames Dillon.

David Lee Russell

Memorial services for David Lee Russell of Brookhaven are 3p.m., Sunday, Sept. 28, at Community Funeral Services Chapel.

Mr. Russell, 58, died Sept. 23, 2003, at King’s DaughtersMedical Center. He was born in Yazoo County on Jan. 8, 1945.

He was a truck driver for Wyles Sanders and others. He was amilitary veteran.

Survivors are his daughters, Amy Russell Smith of Brookhaven,Leah Bridges of Tupelo, and Dakota Russell of Cassville, Mo.
