Services for Rosie Mae Jackson of Monticello are 2 p.m.,Saturday, Oct. 25, at Mt. Olive Missionary Baptist Church in Omawith burial in Pleasant Valley Cemetery in Oma.

Visitation is Friday from noon – 5 p.m., at Tyler FuneralHome.

Mrs. Jackson, 68, died Oct. 20, 2003, at University MedicalCenter in Jackson. She was born in Lawrence County on Aug. 13,1935, to Archie Lee Courtney and Rosie Courtney.

She was a former school bus driver and cafeteria worker inLawrence County. She was a member of Mt. Olive Missionary BaptistChurch, where she served on the choir, usher and mother boards.

Preceding her in death were her husband, Bennie Jackson; adaughter, Jeanette Brown; her sister, Carrie Mae Taylor; herbrothers, Ivory Courtney and David Lee Haynes; and agranddaughter.

Survivors are her daughters, Bobbie Nell Jackson and DorothyShowers, both of Monticello; her sons, Jerry Jackson of Georgetown,and Jeffery Jackson of Monticello; 22 grandchildren; 27great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.
