Services for Benjamin F. “Frank” Finison of Jackson are 2:30p.m., Wednesday, Nov. 12, at Wright & Ferguson Funeral Home inRidgeland with burial in Parkway Memorial Cemetery.

Visitation is Tuesday from 5-8 p.m., and Wednesday from1:30-2:30 p.m., at the funeral home.

Mr. Finison, 79, died Nov. 9, 2003, at his residence. He wasborn in Ramseur, N.C., to Rufus and Sallie Finison.

He was a retired U.S. Forest Service supervisor. He had lived inJackson since 1975, and was a member of Faith Baptist Church. Heserved in the Army Air Corps, Fifteenth Air Force in World War II.He was honorably discharged in 1945, earning the Air Medal with twoclusters. He studied forestry and graduated from North CarolinaState College of Agriculture and Engineering in 1950. He worked forthe U.S. Forest Service for over 30 years, serving in Washington,D.C., Mississippi, Louisiana, North Carolina, Georgia andFlorida.

Preceding him in death were his parents; his brothers, JamesHolt Finison, Edwin Merrill Finison and William Fred Finison; andhis sisters, Nancy Mae Finison Gay and Annie Webb FinisonPruden.

Survivors are his wife, Louise G. Finison of Jackson; his son,Benjamin F. Finison Jr. of Jackson; his daughters and sons-in-law,Nancy Finison Vaughn and Billy of Brookhaven, and Ann Webb FinisonPittman and Hewitt of Brandon; and his granddaughters, BrandiVaughn and Emily Vaughn, both of Brookhaven.
