Services for Alma Keenan Montgomery of Brookhaven were 10 a.m.,Monday, Dec. 8, at Brookhaven Funeral Home with burial in MatthewsChapel United Methodist Church Cemetery.

Mrs. Montgomery, 99, died Dec. 6, 2003, at Haven Hall NursingHome. She was born in Wesson on Feb. 6, 1904, to Hattie McBrideKeenan and William Everette Keenan.

She was retired from Farmers Home Administration. She was amember of Matthews Chapel United Methodist Church. She was a memberof the National Association of Retired Federal Employees and a pastmember of the Pilot Club of Brookhaven, Rose Craft Garden Club,Friendship Coffee Bible Study and Christian Women’s Club.

Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband, GeneMontgomery; her sister, Lena Hodges; and her brother, Walter EarlKeenan.

Survivors are her niece, Janice Brister and husband Shelby ofBogue Chitto; her great-nieces, Sherry Sellers and husband Barry ofVicksburg, and Charlotte Boyd and husband Brian of Bogue Chitto;her great-nephew, Joel Brister and wife Christy of East Brewton,Ala.; her brother-in-law, Bill Hodges of Brookhaven; threegreat-great-nieces; three great-great-nephews; and a host ofcousins.
