Keep holidays safe: don’t drink and drive

Those “grinches” who drink and drive during the holiday season– and place innocent people in danger — have been warned. Lawenforcement agencies are out to get you.

The Mississippi Highway Safety Patrol has already started whatit is calling the Christmas holiday “DUI Blitz.” Troopers are usingroadblocks to check for drivers under the influence of alcohol ordrugs.

County law enforcement agencies, including the Lincoln CountySheriff’s Office, are also watching for drunk or druggeddrivers.

Sadly, despite their best efforts, chances for trafficfatalities during the holiday season are great.

If you do drink during this holidays — or any at any other time– take the officers’ advice and do so responsibly, that includesnot driving.

Please help keep the holiday season safe for everyone.
