Services for Elmer Lee Allen of Brookhaven are 2 p.m., Tuesday,Dec. 30, at Brookhaven Funeral Home Chapel with burial in RosehillCemetery.

Mr. Allen, 89, died Dec. 28, 2003, in Lawrence County. He wasborn in Lincoln County on May 24, 1914, to Augustus Allen andArtemis Furlow Allen.

He was a retired farmer and construction worker. He was a memberof Harmony Baptist Church.

Preceding him in death were his parents; his wife, Helen LanelleAllen Allen; a son, Tommy Allen; a daughter, Lynda McGuffee; twosisters; three brothers; and four great-grandchildren, DonnaColeman, Amy McGuffee, and Hailey and Hannah McWhorter.

Survivors are his daughter, Pat Carr of Alexandria, La.; hissons, Johnny Allen of Monticello, and Kenneth Joe Allen of Duluth,Minn.; 17 grandchildren; and 33 great-grandchildren.
