Services for J.C. Boyd of McComb are 2 p.m., Wednesday, March 3,at McComb Gospel Assembly Church with burial in ProvidenceCemetery. Catchings Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Visitation is Tuesday from 5-10 p.m., and Wednesday from 10 a.m.until 2 p.m., at the church.

Mr. Boyd, 87, died Feb. 29, 2004, at his residence. He was bornin Lawrence County on Nov. 25, 1916, to Edward Boyd and ArmistaBoyd.

He was a contractor and a former employee of Croft Metals. Hewas a member of McComb Gospel Assembly Church.

Preceding him in death were his parents; a son, Billy Boyd; asister, Vaudia Maria Daniels; five grandchildren; and onegreat-grandchild.

Survivors are his wife of 66 years, Geree Dunaway Boyd ofMcComb; his daughters, Mary Alice Kitchens of Seminary, Jessie ReeEasley of Chandler, Texas, and Anita Comeaux of Brandon; his sons,Delton Boyd of Price, Utah, Paul Boyd of Bay Springs, Bobby Boyd ofMarietta, Ga., and Tim Boyd of Richland; 31 grandchildren; 69great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren.
