Services for Carey Thomas Gerald of Roxie are 4 p.m., Friday,March 5, at Marshall Funeral Home in Bude with burial in KnoxvilleMethodist Cemetery.

Visitation is Friday from noon until 4 p.m., at the funeralhome.

Mr. Gerald, 88, died March 4, 2004, at Natchez RegionalHospital. He was born in Franklin County on Nov. 27, 1915, toThomas Brothers Gerald and Eunice Kirkland Gerald.

He was an offshore crewboat captain. He was a member of theBaptist faith.

Preceding him in death were his parents.

Survivors are his sisters, Ione Shell of Roxie, Rosa Spell ofYazoo City, Winnie Hewitt of Liberty, and Camille Reid of Vidalia,La.; his brother, Howard Gerald of Temple, Texas; hisstepdaughters, Nina Whitehead and Mary McGlothlin; and a host ofnieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
