West Lincoln roars past Enterprise

The West Lincon Bears exploded for 16 hits Monday night andwhipped the Enterprise Yellow Jackets 11-4 in Division 7-1Abaseball action. They were directed by Dan Lofton and Casey Brittwho doubled twice and singled twice.

The Bears (3-1, 1-1) evened their Division 7-1Arecord by defeating Enterprise.

“We hit the ball a lot better and put the ball in play,” saidWest Lincoln coach Andrew Redd. “We didn’t have as manystrikeouts.”

Winning pitcher Landon Case struck out 5 batters and walked 4.Losing hurler Blake McKee fanned 13 batters and walked 2.

Case helped the Beras with 2 hits. Matt Deer, WestonYoung, AdamCase, Shan Lynch and Dan Allen also hit safely.

Enterprise got 2 hits from Scott Sasser, Payton Green and McKee.Jonathan Beeson, Matt Waldrop and Alex Powell singled.

West Lincoln resumes play Friday at Crystal Springs, starting at3:30 p.m. On Friday night, the Bears make up a varsity divisiongame at Pelahatchie at 7 p.m.

On Saturday, Bogue Chitto hosts the Lincoln CountyTournament.
