Services for Marie “Sut” Sparkman of Summit are 11 a.m.,Saturday, March 13, at Chisolm Mission African Methodist EpiscopalChurch with burial in Upper Pleasant Grove Cemetery.

Visitation is Friday from 6-8 p.m., at Peoples Funeral Home.

Mrs. Sparkman, 58, died March 9, 2004, at Southwest MississippiRegional Medical Center in McComb. She was born in Lincoln Countyon Jan. 5, 1946, to John Tobias Sr. and Elizabeth WatkinsTobias.

She was employed by Mississippi Action for Progress for 13years.

Preceding her in death were her father and her husband, Otis”Byrd” Sparkman.

Survivors are her mother; her sisters, Delorise McEwen ofMagnolia, Debra Black and LaShun Johnson, both of Summit, HelenMartin of Houston, Texas, and Barbara Ann Tobias and GloriaCameron, both of Chicago, Ill.; her brothers, John, Donald, Melvin,Kenneth and Keith Tobias, all of Summit; and a host of aunts,uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, church familyand friends.
