Ouida Elaine Boyd Burgess

Services for Ouida Elaine Boyd Burgess of Hammond, La., are 11a.m., Thursday, March 18, at Hartman Funeral Home of McComb Chapelwith burial in Union Primitive Baptist Cemetery in Ruth. Serviceswill be conducted by the Revs. Robert Self and Cliff Pace.

Visitation is Wednesday from 5-9 p.m., and Thursday from 9-11a.m., at the funeral home.

Mrs. Burgess, 54, died March 15, 2004, at M.D. Anderson CancerCenter in Houston, Texas. She was born in Ferriday, La. on Aug. 3,1949 to Alva Boyd and Elcile Buie Boyd.

She was a hairdresser in McComb for several years at Three’sCompany Hair Salon. She graduated from Bogue Chitto High School.She loved fishing, and she loved her grandchildren dearly.

Preceding her in death were her parents; her sisters, Willie AnnLawrence and Betty Jo Boyd; and two brothers, Billy Fred Boyd andJames Boyd.

Survivors are her husband, George Burgess of Hammond, La.; herdaughters and sons-in-law, Christie and Chad Coghlan of BogueChitto, LeAnn Hart of Walker, La., Alana and Clint Lancaster ofFlora, and Kristen and Johnny Gough of Gluckstadt; her son anddaughter-in-law, Bret and Charley Hart of the West Lincolncommunity; her brother and sister-in-law, Eugene and Bobbie NellBoyd of the East Lincoln community; her grandchildren, ChristopherHart, Chynna Coghlan, Shelby Hart, Mason Hart, Hanna GraceLancaster and Lacey Martin; and her great-grandchildren, KayleePorter and Katelyn Martin.

Pallbearers will be Lonnie Woods, Brent Boyd, Ryan Boyd, TimMartin, Pat Ard, Dusty Boyd and Billy Boyd.

Christopher Dean Twiner

Services for Christopher Dean Twiner of Hazlehurst are 2 p.m.,Wednesday, March 17, at New Providence Baptist Church with burialin New Providence Cemetery. Community Funeral Services is in chargeof arrangements.

Mr. Twiner, 36, died March 14, 2004, at his residence. He wasborn in Hazlehurst on Aug. 7, 1967, to Charles Twiner and Ann DoyleTwiner.

He was an engineer for the Mississippi Department ofTransportation. He attended two years of college. He was a memberof the Baptist faith.

Survivors are his parents, Charles and Ann Twiner of Hazlehurst;his brothers and sister-in-law, Darrell and Stephanie Twiner, andScott Twiner, all of Hazlehurst; his nieces, Brittany Twiner andEmily Twiner, both of Hazlehurst; and his nephew, Chance Twiner ofHazlehurst.

Helen Elizabeth Woodall

Services for Helen Elizabeth Woodall of Wesson are 11 a.m.,Thursday, March 18, at Stringer Family Funeral Services Chapel inHazlehurst with burial in Wesson Cemetery.

Visitation is Wednesday from 5-8 p.m., at the funeral home.

Mrs. Woodall, 84, died March 16, 2004, at her residence.

She was retired from Potter Company. She was a lifelong memberof Wesson Baptist Church.

Preceding her in death were her parents, Mr. and Mrs. R.L.Williams; her husband, J.M. Woodall; two sisters, Nancy Mason andClara Haley; and her brothers, Robert Williams Jr., Henry Williams,James Williams and C.A. Williams.

Survivors are her sisters, Mildred Bardwell of McComb, andFlonnie Turnbo of Wesson; and a host of nieces and nephews.
