Services for Harold N. Porter of Smithdale are 2 p.m., Sunday,March 21, at Arlington Baptist Church with burial in the churchcemetery. Brookhaven Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Visitation is Sunday from 1-2 p.m., at the church.

Mr. Porter, 86, died March 19, 2004, at his son’s residence inBrookhaven. He was born in Lincoln County on Aug. 14, 1917, toWilliam “Bill” N. Porter and Ollie Ratcliff Porter.

He was retired from the shipping deparment of InternationalPaper Co. in Natchez. He was a member of Arlington Baptist Church.He was a member of CCC Camp.

Preceding him in death were his parents; and his wife, EdnaMaude Case Porter.

Survivors are his sons and daughters-in-law, Donald and PeggyPorter, and Gary and Karen Porter, all of Brookhaven, Rickey andConnie Porter of Smithdale, and Phil and Sandy Porter of Stamford,Neb.; 13 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and a host ofnieces and nephews.
