JACKSON — The Brookhaven varsity tennis team won a 3-2 matchover Jim Hill Thursday afternoon.

Winning for the Panthers were Blake Hobbs and Mason Dixon inboys double, Betsy Lynch and Jessica Barnthouse in girls doublesand the duo of Paul Green and Ann Kirk Jacobs in mixed doubles.

“The match ended being closer than I hoped it would be but JimHill had a couple of good players in singles,” said Brookhaventennis coach David Misner.

Brookhaven improved to is 6-1 on the season and 5-0 in thedistrict. The Panthers travel to Jackson at 9 a.m. Saturday tocompete in the Northwest Rankin Tournament at the ReservoirYMCA.
