Services for John W. Smith of Brookhaven are 3 p.m., Tuesday,March 30, at Holly Springs Baptist Church with burial in HollySprings Cemetery. Community Funeral Services is in charge ofarrangements.

Visitation is Tuesday from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m., at thechurch.

Mr. Smith, 97, died March 28, 2004, at King’s Daughters MedicalCenter. He was born in Lincoln County on March 18, 1907, to EugeneSmith and Letha White.

He was a self-employed farmer.

Preceding him in death were his parents and his wife, GladysSmith.

Survivors are his sons, Elton Smith and Gordon Smith, both ofBrookhaven; his sister, Geneva Geogahgen of Natchez; eightgrandchildren; and a host of great-grandchildren.
